# FastGPT implementation with CNPS

**A practical buyer guide | September 3, 2026**

CNPS is a FastGPT partner. We help business teams scope and assess knowledge assistants, support workflows and RFQ intake. Platform licensing, implementation scope and support responsibilities are defined in a written proposal.

## Start with the work

Choose a recurring task that has a clear owner and a reliable source of information. A good pilot has observable inputs, a useful output and a way to compare the result with how your team works today. A broad request to automate an entire department usually needs discovery before it can be priced responsibly.

Three starting points are:

- **Technical knowledge:** find answers in approved manuals and internal guidance, with references and a path for missing information.
- **Support triage:** prepare routine answers and structured handoffs, keeping account decisions and uncertain requests with authorized staff.
- **RFQ intake:** extract requirements, flag missing fields and prepare a reviewable brief. Your sales team confirms prices, availability and delivery commitments.

## What FastGPT contributes

The official project describes knowledge processing, retrieval-augmented generation, visual workflows and API-based application integration. Available capabilities depend on the edition, version, model, integrations and deployment. CNPS scopes the business process around those capabilities: data preparation, evaluation, integrations, human review, rollout and maintenance. We agree on what will be implemented before describing it as an available integration.

## What to bring to a first conversation

- The recurring task and the person who owns it.
- Your existing document, support or sales systems.
- A few non-confidential example questions or requests.
- Your deployment and language preferences.
- What a useful result would look like, and when you hope to begin.

Do not send credentials, production customer records or sensitive personal information in an initial inquiry. If a pilot proceeds, we agree on an appropriate way to provide approved samples.

## What a pilot should answer

Does the output meet your quality standard? Do references support the answer? What happens when a document is missing, an external service is unavailable or a user lacks access? How much time is saved after review and rework? What are the ongoing operating costs?

Agree on these questions and an evaluation sample before the pilot. Keep some samples separate from configuration and tuning. Report failed cases alongside successful ones. A small pilot supports a decision about its defined scope; it cannot establish universal accuracy or zero risk.

## Understand the data flow

Assess the whole chain: document parsing, embeddings, retrieval, model endpoints, tools, logs, backups and support access. Hosting the application in your environment does not by itself mean that every processing step stays there. Security and data-protection requirements should be reviewed for your actual deployment and business use.

## Understand licensing and cost

The public [FastGPT license](https://github.com/labring/FastGPT/blob/main/LICENSE) includes additional commercial conditions. A similar multi-tenant SaaS offering or changes to console branding can require specific authorization. CNPS and FastGPT should confirm the applicable licensing before such a model is offered.

A proposal should identify the implementation fee, platform licensing, model usage, infrastructure, support, data preparation and any additional integrations. State what is included, what is excluded and how changes will be handled. Scope and timing depend on the data, access and approvals being ready.

## Use references responsibly

The [CNPS FastGPT reference library](https://www.cnps.ai/fastgpt/cases/) contains concise summaries of cases published by FastGPT and separate CNPS pilot concepts. These are not CNPS-delivered customer projects. CNPS has not independently audited the publisher's reported outcomes, and your pilot uses its own baseline and acceptance criteria.
